In this year a completely new type of jacket was ordered. It consisted of a blue single-breasted tunic with a 2-inch deep collar rounded in front and braided and laced in gold. Down the chest were six loops of gold chain lace ending in gold caps and drops. The loops narrowed toward the waist from 8 inches at the top to 4 inches at the bottom. The jacket was fastened with six olivets worked in gold. The entire jacket was edged around in gold chain lace. Each seam on the back had a double chain of gold lace triple looped at the top and knotted at the bottom with a gold cap over each lace at the waist.

It had no ornaments. At this time the forage cap was blue cloth with a top decoration and band of silver braid.
